Josef Brustmann

Post by mona »

Translation of the informations of the Brustmann family:

Josef has been taken by helicopter to the hospital at Frankfurt. His hip was dislocated, many rips were broken, the 10. thoratic vertebra was operated. His lounge has collapsed, he also had feaver. They placed him in a medical induced coma. He is at the intensive care ward.
If he can feel his legs we will not know until the coma is finished.
Unfortunately his career is definitely finished. We hope the best.

Anja, Daniel and Tobias Brustmann

This morning I got the information that his lounge is working better again. So they will try to take him out of coma soon.
We will keep you informed!

Thanks to all the teams, friends and fans for their care at Strassbessenbach.

This morning Josef has awaken from the coma. He has talked to Anja on the phone, though very slowly and numbed. Regarding to the feeling in his legs there cannot be given a statement till now.

Today Josef was able to move his feet slightly to the left and the right. He could talk nearly as usual, but he still is in very big pain.

Translation of Anja’s information from the German forum:

Unfortunately there is no news. Still about 3 liters of fluid are running out of the lounge or lymph. That means for 2 weeks no food only water and tea. If this will not help he has to be operated. He is placed on a big chair for 3 – 4 hours a day. The rest of the day he is lying. His nerves are frayed.
See you soon

Good news:
After more than 5 weeks of hospitalisation Josef comes in „Reha“ (I don`t know the English word  ). He is going to Bad Griesbach, nearness Passau.
Then he is back in his beloved Bavaria and certainly quick and complete recovery.

Hope the recovery is progressing well.

(Excused my bad English  )
