VMC Sidecar wheel spindle

Post by Sos »

On the new type vmc sidecar wheel spindle (hollow one) how do you stop the nut from working itself loose as it is a left hand thread!!! Heard stories of nut coming loose and wheel falling off. They work fine apparently on right hand chairs. Any ideas anyone?

To solve this problem you could get one made with a right hand (conventional) thread cut on it.

I can make one for you if you can measure the dimensions of the existing one and send me a sketch or a drawing.

Hope this is of help
